HES PTA partnered with Hillsborough BBQ
Company and Whit’s Frozen Custard to host
a family night on March 15th, 2018.
This HES PTA event was all about FOOD, FAMILIES & FUN!
Many Dolphin families came to eat at Hillsborough BBQ Company, but there were also many take out orders. Some folks called in their order ahead and picked up their food to take home. One family placed a take-out order with Hillsborough BBQ, went next door to have Whit’s custard for dinner… and then picked up their real food for a “second dinner” at home.
This fantastic community event was attended by interim Principal Mr. Boswell, Assistant Prinical Mrs. Nagy , in addition to many HES faculty and staff members.
The turn out for our fundraiser was FAR BEYOND what either of the restaurants could have imagined. I supposed nothing could have prepared them for this level of DOLPHIN SPIRIT, which is a direct reflection of our support for students, teachers and families. Both places were packed with HES families. We took up tables inside and out, and spilled onto the sidewalk.
The HES NIGHT OUT was a great opportunity for folks to meet for the first time or to catch up with each other. Plus, it was good for our kids to have fun with friends outside of school.
Based on HES’s overwhelming support of this event, HES PTA was able to raise nearly $600. Because of the success of the event, we are hoping to try for another HES NIGHT OUT in the future.
