Notification template to families and friends about Read-A-Thon contribution

Hey there!

We are so excited to reach out and invite you to support [fill-in-your-student’s-name] in our elementary school’s annual fundraiser event, the Read-A-Thon. We have two main purposes through our Read-A-Thon: to promote a love of reading and to raise funds to provide enrichment for students at Hillsborough Elementary School (HES) throughout the year. In support of our 2024 schoolwide theme of Impact, the Parent Teach Association (PTA) proposes using funds to create a permanent shade space between the cafeteria and building 300 or new nets for the soccer field. The shade structure would provide much-needed shelter for outdoor lunches and outdoor activities like car rider pick-up and after-school care. The PTA will also continue funding classroom supplies for teachers, support for field trips, afterschool events, and so much more!

The 2024 HES Read-A-Thon will start August 23, 2024, at 6 am and end September 3, 2024, at 8 pm. Your support of [fill-in-your-student’s-name] will help us reach our collective goal of reading 250,000 minutes and raising $37,000. [Fill-in-your-student’s-name] has set a personal goal of reading xyz minutes and xyz dollars. Not only is [fill-in-your-student’s-name] eligible for prizes this year! Each donor who contributes $ 300 or more to a dolphin participant will receive our Big Splash Donor prize of a HES tote bag. With prizes on the line, we will keep you posted if we hit our goal!
